Welcome to my website!

Thanks for visiting. Please stay and take a look around.

My writing is inspired by a fascination with the interstices between the human and animal worlds, with the unknown and ‘other’, and the uneasy lands that lie between what is real and what is imagined. My stories are unintentionally filled with animals - communications with, transformations into, journeys alongside. And the monsters that live in the corner of your eye.

Living and writing in the Scottish Highlands.

May be Tweeting too much! Very pleased to have won the Nairn Book and Arts Festival 2013 Twitter Fiction prize with my entry:

Grimy bottle. Inside, a lost world mossy with forgotten dreams, fairy-lit with what-ifs. She wipes a thumb across its cold surface. ‘Lemon’.

Enjoyed a wonderful evening of poetry readings at the Nairn Bookshop, meeting the other winners, the Nairn Bookshop poetry group, festival organisers and judge Chris Powici.
